Terms of Use

These terms apply when you access, read, or use content on the Shadowrocket Configuration Guide website. Before changing configurations or purchasing the app, understand the separate scope of this site's guidance and the app transaction.

1. About This Site and Scope

This is the official Shadowrocket website and manual, with guidance on verifying the genuine app, purchasing and installing it, importing existing configurations, writing rules, and troubleshooting. These terms govern use of this site's content; they do not replace the app's license agreement, App Store transaction terms, or applicable law.

Review the relevant guidance before deciding whether to take action. Configuration snippets explain syntax and matching logic; they are not complete configurations for every network environment. The app interface may change with updates, so check settings against what the app currently displays. If something differs, confirm what the current option does before making further changes.

2. Acceptable Use and User Responsibility

When using this site's content and Shadowrocket, comply with the laws and regulations where you are located and wherever your activities take place, applicable network requirements, and valid service terms. Do not use this guidance for unlawful purposes or to infringe anyone's privacy, intellectual property, or other legal rights.

Import instructions assume you already have your own subscription or server details. Make sure you are authorized to use them, and keep addresses, passwords, and other access credentials secure. Do not publicly share complete configurations, QR codes, or connection logs containing personal credentials. Before changing Config, DNS, or rules, save a recoverable copy of your configuration and understand how the changes may affect connection routing.

3. App Purchases and Service Boundaries

Shadowrocket is a paid commercial app distributed on Apple platforms, primarily for iPhone and iPad. App Store is the only place to get it. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements, device compatibility, and whether Universal Purchase is available. Purchases, payments, refunds, and restoring purchases are subject to the rules shown by the store at the time.

The client is a one-time purchase; it is not a connectivity plan. This site does not provide, sell, or recommend nodes or subscription services, or manage users' servers or subscription accounts. Buying the client does not include network connectivity. Users should check the validity, access rights, and usage limits of any existing service against their own agreement.

4. Content Applicability and Limitation of Liability

This site prepares its guidance using information that can be checked against the App Store listing and the app itself. Network conditions, system settings, configurations, and external service status vary. We do not guarantee that every example will work as-is in every environment, or that visiting this site or using the app will produce a particular connection result consistently.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, this site is not liable for the availability of the app or external services, or for data loss or related losses caused by user error, configuration changes, exposed credentials, or service interruptions. Back up important data and assess the risks before making changes. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or affects consumer rights under applicable law.

5. Intellectual Property and Use of Content

The Shadowrocket trademark and app belong to their developer, Shadow Launch Technology Limited, and are protected by applicable law. Official app icons and interface screenshots shown on this site are used to identify the product and explain its operation. Visiting this site does not grant a license to use the trademark, app, or related materials.

Original text and page content on this site are protected by applicable law. When quoting them, comply with applicable law, provide necessary attribution, and do not distort their meaning or mislead readers about their source. Rule examples can help explain configuration syntax; explanatory addresses in examples should not be treated as usable server details.

6. Changes to These Terms and Finding Help

We may revise these terms if the site's features, content, or applicable requirements change. The revised text and update month will be posted on this page. Significant changes affecting users' rights or obligations will be noted in an appropriate place on the site. Changes take effect as required by applicable law and will not retroactively diminish rights users have already acquired under the law.

Before using this site, review the terms currently in effect. For purchase or configuration questions, start with Troubleshooting or the guide, and follow the checks on the page to narrow down the issue. See the Privacy Policy for details about how personal information is handled.
